To lose weight, we must eat the right foods, and avoid the wrong ones. Your body can maintain its regular weight (which is NOT your current weight, if you're obese) if you stop eating foods that cause cravings. Your body will eventually settle to its normal weight if you simply start eating healthier foods.
So what foods should you avoid?
1) Dairy Products
But milk is healthy. This is what most people learn when they are little, but it is simply not true. If you want to feel sick, consuming dairy is the worst things you can do, as it contains a substance called opoid peptides. As much as dairy companies want to make you believe dairy is completely healthy, do not believe their marketing hype. The promoters of dairy probably don't even drink milk, as it completely destroys their skin, and leads to excess mucus production. So, just don't be fooled by the ads - they just want your money, and simply do not care about your health.
And this is just incredibly sad. How people never use the product/substance/supplement they actually market and do commercials for. Milk is something you MUST avoid if you have chronic acne or don't want skin problems. Milk also leads to cravings and makes you want to eat more. Milk, especially homogenized milk contain harmful hormones, that has cancer-producing properties. So, you definitely do not need to drink milk everyday to stay healthy.
2) Wheat
Yup, wheat is another product/food you must avoid. The food pyramid leads you to believe you absolutely have to eat everyday to be a healthy person. Bread is incredibly bad, as it leads to constipation. Of course, you can eat some bread or pizza as a munch food, but definitely do not consider it a staple food. If you absolutely must eat bread, then ensure you add some good oil, and butter so that you are not constipated!
3) Prepared Foods
Any prepared foods is dangerous to your health, as it contains substances that can increase cravings and your appetite.
4) Legumes
Yup, legumes is another food that you have to avoid. They contain excess fiber, and this causes your body to absorb cholesterol.. but wait a minute.. I don't want cholesterol. Well, I'm talking about clean cholesterol, which is good to consume, as it basically suppresses your appetite.
5) Too Much Protein
If you consume too much protein, and cooked protein, especially, you corrupt the metabolism of serotonin, which leads to cravings and increased appetite. In fact, we should avoid all foods that damage the production of serotonin. These include foods such as:
- Corn foods
- Whole-wheat bread
- Rye Bread
- Almonds
- Pasta
What foods should you include in your diet?
1) Fruits
The sugars in fruits are your best friend. These sugars increase your body's
production of serotonin, which eventually leads to the decrease of appetite
and cravings. Eat fruits for breakfast, lunch, or snacks. It is incredibly
hard to overeat on fruit, so enjoy it!
2) Good Fat
I'm talking about foods such as avocados, sashimi (raw fish you can find in
Japanese restaurants), nuts such as Brazil nuts. These fatty foods are great
in the sense they containing substances that suppress your appetite. Notice a
pattern here?
3) Clean Cholesterol
Many people believe cholesterol is bad for your body, but that only applies to
BAD cholesterol. Good, clean cholesterol is actually beneficial to your
health. Where can you find clean cholesterol? Well, you can find it in foods
such as raw egg yolk and sashimi. Once again, clean cholesterol, when consumes
produces substances that suppress your appetite, which leads to weight loss.
4) Munch Foods
You don't have to avoid eating all bad, unhealthy foods all the time. We have
to satisfy our cravings once in awhile, so feel free to consume "munch foods"
such as pizza, or bread once every weekend.
5) Sashimi
Sashimi is raw fish that can be found in japanese restaurants. It's the raw
fish in sushi without the white bread. Sashimi is incredibly healthy as it
contains plenty of Vitamin B3. Consuming Vitamin B3 leads to the production of
serotonin, which as you know is helpful towards weight loss.
6) Good, Clean Protein
I've talked a lot about avoiding bad protein. Good protein is actually good
for you. These includes foods such as Brazilian nuts, fruits as well raw raw
meat. Yes, raw meat (my boyfriend loves to eat raw beef, but I recommend
sticking with sashimi in Japanese restaurants).
7) Foods that Produce Serotonin
Efficiently
These include: dates, bananas, and mango. However, a small note.. if you
aren't used to eating a lot of fruits with serotonin, start with a little at
first, then gradually build up. Why is this? Because our body needs to build
up its enzymes to digest and get rid of the serotonin found in these fruits.
Mango is a fruit we shouldn't eat in enormous amounts.
Other Notes:
1) Be Outdoors
Yep, try to get as much sunlight as possible. Your body constantly decomposes
serotonin on a daily basis. When you're exposed to the sun, this process is
slowed down. Try to take walks outside, and do outdoor activities rather than
sit indoors.
2) Don't Drink Alcohol with Junk Food
Alcohol, when drunk occasionally is okay (we all need some to loosen up!).
However, be sure you don't drink it with prepared food! Drinking alcohol
increases your appetite, and this is a sin when you're on a weight loss
regimen.

Most diet pills and diet programs simply
do not work, and are full of horrible side effects. In addition, there
are no studies that show they really work. For me, I was able to lose weight
with MediFast, a diet program. They basically deliver your meals to your front
door, so you don't need to cook, or count calories. Unlike diet pills, it's
natural, and there are clinical studies by John Hopkins University that
show it works.
